What is CE?
The CE marking (also known as CE mark) is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking certifies that a product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements.
What is FCC?
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is the U.S. telecommunications regulator. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 as the successor to the Federal Radio Commission and is charged with regulating all non-federal government use of the radio spectrum (including radio and television broadcasting), and all interstate telecommunications (wire, satellite and cable) as well as all international communications that originate or terminate in the United States.
Most of GOSCAM’s products meet the RoHS standard.
Now almost all products produced by GOSCAM match the RoHS standard and are totally guaranteed in terms of safety and reliability.
The “directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment” (commonly referred to as RoHS) was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. The RoHS directive took effect on 1 July 2006, and is required to be enforced and become law in each member state. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ether) in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment.

What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) is the European Community directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) which, together with the RoHS Directive, became European Law in February 2003, setting collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical goods.
Use of the WEEE Symbol
The WEEE symbol on products or its packaging indicates that this product must not be disposed of with other waste.
The directive imposes the responsibility for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment on the manufacturers of such equipment. Those companies should establish an infrastructure for collecting WEEE, in such a way that users of electrical and electronic equipment from private households should have the possibility of returning WEEE at least free of charge. Also, the companies are compelled to use the collected waste in an ecologically-friendly manner, either by ecological disposal or by reuse/refurbishment of the collected WEEE.

Hazardous Substance Process Management
Being in compliance with the QC 080000 standard allows GOSCAM to implement a Hazardous Substance Process Management (HSPM) system that covers the key requirements of the various environmental protection directives from across the globe.
This specification was developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), a non-governmental organization that has been in close cooperation with ISO in developing standards.
